My name is Lionel Taito-Matamua. I am a Designer from Wellington, NZ. Being Samoan, I love to give back to the community and get the communities involved in the work i do and what im passionate about. I am the founder and facilitator of Creative Pathways, an outreach programme that give schools, children and teachers the opportunity to interact with new technology (3D Printing) and apply it in the classroom.I am a Designer who loves to incorporate new technology into my work. Using new technology to teach and make learning 'FUN'. Using technology to approach global issues such as Plastic waste and ocean plastics.
I am a board member for Kiwi Daddys Wellington Charitable Trust. We are a support network for fathers worldwide who have links to New Zealand. Being a single father of a beautiful daughter, being part of the Kiwi Daddys will help me be the best father i can be to my little girl.
I enjoy Public Speaking, and have spoken to large groups around New Zealand and in Australia. The biggest event so far i have spoken at was Festival For The Future 2016, in Auckland. I also enjoy speaking to small groups like school and community groups.
